Maria Suggs is a recent graduate from the University of Georgia. While she currently resides in Virginia Maria has lived in several other states and countries including Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru. In Maria’s undergrad she studied political science and intercultural studies because she believes that a broader understanding of people and the world at large creates better solutions to global and local issues. Maria’s intercultural studies focused on diaspora literature. Because of her interest in global relations Maria interned at the African Affairs Office under the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense where she researched, developed, and executed literature reviews. Post-graduation Maria is looking to gain more experience in the workforce and work towards attending law school.
